Are you comfortable with your eating?

Take a moment to think about it- are you comfortable with your eating? How much time do you spend thinking about food or your body?
I frequently hear answers like a lot, all the time, most of the time, or more than I would like. Now think about what you could be doing instead of spending all your time worrying or obsessing over food, calories, carbs, fat grams, protein, clean eating, losing weight, building muscle, eating the right kinds of food, feeling guilty from eating, exercising to make up for what you ate, feeling bad about your body, body bashing (negative body talk), etc. etc. The list could go on and on! It’s exhausting just to think about it, and it’s an exhausting way to live.
Imagine your life if you didn’t have to worry about those things. I already feel more relaxed just thinking about it. What could you do in your life if you didn’t have to worry about your food and body? How much more time would you have? What would you spend your energy doing? Maybe you would take up a new hobby, or finally spend time working on that project that you haven’t started yet. Maybe you could spend more time with friends and family, and you could certainly live a happier life with less guilt.
The reality is food and body thoughts, even sometimes in the name of health, can begin to interfere with your quality of life. Let me assure you, that life does not have to be that way. Whether it’s emotional eating, disordered eating, weight loss, diabetes, or a search for healthy eating there is a solution that is balanced and realistic that can help you feel confident and in charge of your eating. What would you do if you had more time to live your life free of food and body worries? What are you waiting for?
